The 2010 Unemployment Gone Mad Advocate Community is made up of working people from all walks of life who are now jobless. So many of us have struggle to survive for so long that we are now shell shocked. So many of us have no hope in sight except a benefit check. Many have said we are in a recession but when you consider this economic disaster started in Dec 2007 this is really an under statement. What we are facing is the symptoms of a New Depression. The foreclosures,bankruptcies,evictions,401 K wreckage, no heath insurance and continual layoffs have finally lead so many of us to being on the fringes of being homeless. Currently 1.5 million Americans are exhausting all their benefits before the 2009 year end. This includes emergency and extended benefits, State and Federal.

PRESS RELEASE Dec 12, 2009 A new legislative advocate bill proposal called " JOBLESS STUB 2009 TAX FREE ACT " (STUB meaning Stop Taxing Unemployment Benefits) has been kick started by the Unemployment Gone Mad Community and is being launched to make All Unemployment Benefits received in 2009 tax free. Coalition partnerships are currently in the works to gather grass root support for Congressional Committee Action. The Gone Mad opinion is 2009 lifelines deserve 100% tax free status during the 2009 New Depression Blues year. Not just the current 2400 dollar deduction. The current IRS policy of leaving the unemployed in a financial hole defeats the stimulus package objectives. Unfortunely there millions of long term unemployed who will have a tax liability unless this travesty of justice is changed.

Finally there is hope with a group of individuals united in purpose to gain self respect and dignity in gaining entitlements for the years of work in building this country. We the Gone Mad Community are taking action through power in numbers by advocating policy change.
